2nd Period Matrix- 4/17

Class Activities: 

-We reviewed body parts and adjectives.
-We discussed again about how adjectives need to match the noun they describe.
-Students began working on the bilingual book we are making about aliens.
-HOMEWORK: Students have a worksheet to complete (see attachment). It is due Friday.

Before School: Beginner 11/7

Class Activities: 

-Students practiced review topics.
-Students practiced conversation in partners.
-Students learned about concordance for articles and nouns. Articles need to match their noun with both gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular/plural). Copies of explanation are outside my door.
-We went over new vocabulary for classroom objects (see attachment).
-HOMEWORK: Students should study new vocabulary at home. They also have a worksheet to complete (copies are outside my door). This is due next class- Wed 11/14

Before School: High Beginner 10/2

Class Activities: 

-Students corrected sentences in Spanish using descriptive vocabulary we practiced last class.
-We reviewed how to use the website to check our homework and stay on top of assignments.
-Students were given feedback on their oral quizzes from last week.
-We practiced conversation as a group.
-I handed out a second sheet of "Como es?" vocabulary. We reviewed the use of the verb "ser" (to be).
-Students learned how two things need to match when use adjectives in Spanish: the gender (masculine/feminine) and plurality. Describing boys ends in "o", describing girls ends in "a"; For more than one person, add an "s" at the end.
-HOMEWORK: Students must complete the two exercises on the bottom of their vocabulary sheet (see attachment).

Fluency level: 

Before School: La Ropa 1 (9/21)

Class Goals: 

-Students wrote out numbers 1-20 in Spanish, then we went over them together to correct spelling mistakes.
-We discussed article concordance, making sure the article gender and number matches the noun (see attachment).
-Students were taught two important phrases to use when they need assistance, or to be excused: "Perdóname" and "Disculpa".
-Students were presented with different articles of clothing to practice with the vocabulary (see attachment).
-Homework was given to practice with article concordance (see attachment). It is due next period, Friday 9/23.
